Emilia Tołkaczew
psychotherapist
My therapeutic approach is based mainly in analytical psychology, which I have been studying for over 10 years. What was initially a purely academic interest transformed into practice in 2015, when I decided to participate in a 4 year-long professional training conducted by the Polish Association for Analytical Psychology. I completed my training in early 2019 and am currently working towards full certification. I work with adults, young adults and teenagers. I also consistently broaden my skills and add elements of other psychotherapeutic modalities to my working method.

About me
I hold an English Studies MA degree with a specialization in culture and media theory, with special focus in translation. I continue my academic work in this field by writing papers, conducting lectures and presenting my theories on conferences. I also work as a translator, most often for psychology-related books and services.
Privately, I'm very passionate about pop-culture, particularly animated movies and video games. I follow Marvel's Cinematic Universe with unabashed enthusiasm. I also read a lot, mostly focusing on the so-called "hard fantasy" and science-fiction. Sometimes I play around with different forms of art: I draw, play several instruments, write short stories. I absolutely love animals and am occasionally accompanied to work by my emotional support dog, Megumi.

Contact me
I offer face-to-face meetings in the center of Katowice on Mondays and Thursdays, and in the center of Jaworzno on Tuesdays and Fridays. I also do online sessions, depending on availability.
